Music Genie Privacy Policy

Data kept on your device

Music Genie locally stores ideas and prompts, generated or saved playlists, songs, history, taste signals such as likes and rejections, Apple Music identifiers and metadata, and preferences. This data is not synced to a 2tap playlist server.

The app does not require a 2tap account.

Apple Music

With your permission, Music Genie uses MusicKit to verify access, search the catalog, load identifiers, metadata, and artwork, create playlists in your library, and delegate playback to Apple Music. The app does not download or distribute audio files. 2tap does not receive your Apple Music credentials.

Playlists added to your library become Apple Music content and must also be managed or deleted there.

Voice and transcription

Microphone and speech recognition are optional. If you use this feature, Apple speech services turn audio into text. 2tap does not record or store that audio on its servers. Recognized text becomes part of the request and follows the curation provider you selected. You can deny or revoke permission and continue typing.

Artificial intelligence modes

On eligible devices, Music Genie may use Apple models through Private Cloud Compute. Apple processes the request under its terms and privacy protections.

If you select OpenRouter, your API key is used for authentication, and the request and context needed to create or review the playlist are processed by OpenRouter and the provider/model you choose. 2tap does not operate a proxy or inference backend for this traffic.

Sent context may include song metadata and taste feedback relevant to the playlist. OpenRouter retains usage metadata; prompt and response retention can vary with your account settings and the provider serving the model. Music Genie does not enforce zero-data-retention routing. Do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information in requests.

API keys

When you provide an OpenRouter key, it is stored in the device Keychain with ThisDeviceOnly protection and used as a Bearer credential only to authenticate requests made directly to the service. You can remove it in Music Genie Settings. 2tap does not receive this key.

Diagnostics

Music Genie keeps local technical records to diagnose operations, such as response status, duration, and size, with authorization headers redacted. 2tap does not operate a playlist or inference analytics backend. RevenueCat subscription analytics are described below. Avoid personal data in prompts; diagnostic builds may record additional context on the device.

Purchases and creation allowance

Apple processes the annual, auto-renewable Music Genie+ subscription. The app uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, enable Plus, restore subscriptions, prevent fraud, and provide subscription analytics. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription history, an anonymous app identifier, and technical app/store context needed for the service. Free-creation history stays on your device.

Music Genie does not associate this identifier with a name, email, or account and does not send RevenueCat your prompts, playlists, taste signals, Apple Music activity, OpenRouter key, or advertising identifier. 2tap does not receive your card number or complete payment details.

To restore a purchase, use the same Apple Account as the subscription and the restoration option provided in the app. Complimentary beta access does not establish a commercial subscription. An Apple Music subscription is separate.

No ads or tracking

Music Genie contains no advertising, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not request tracking permission. Subscription data is used for functionality and purchase analytics, not advertising tracking across apps or websites. 2tap does not sell personal data.

Retention and deletion

You can delete saved playlists in the app and remove your OpenRouter key in Settings. Deleting Music Genie removes its local app data, subject to normal iOS backup behavior. Playlists already created in Apple Music must be deleted from your Apple Music library.

Keychain items can survive app deletion: remove the key in Settings before uninstalling or revoke it at OpenRouter. Data sent to an AI provider is subject to that provider's retention rules and controls. 2tap does not keep a copy of those requests in its own backend.

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription or automatically delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Manage renewal in Apple's subscription settings. Contact support privately about purchase-data requests; we may need minimal information to locate the record and will explain any applicable retention obligations.

To request access, correction, or deletion of personal data controlled by 2tap, subject to applicable law, email support@2tap.com.br. Music Genie requires no account and has no 2tap playlist backend. If you contact support, we receive your email and the information you choose to send to handle your request. Send only what is necessary and never post keys, receipts, or customer identifiers in a public issue tracker.
